Welcome to the Baltimore Bar Foundation’s Second Annual Racing the Bar 5k Run/1 Mile Walk! The Race is hosted by the University of Baltimore School of Law. All athletes are welcome and we encourage first-time athletes to participate.

The Baltimore Bar Foundation, Inc., is a charitable organization, incorporated in 1970. The Foundation provides financial support for non-profit programs and organizations that have a significant relation to the Baltimore City community that contribute to the administration of justice, provide legal services to the needy, educate the general public and students on the law and the legal system, and promote the continuing legal education of lawyers to improve the quality of legal services.

Programs that have received funding from the Baltimore Bar Foundation include the Homeless Persons Representation Project, Inc., Baltimore Neighborhoods, Inc., Maryland Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, the Maryland Disability Law Center, Senior Legal Services, Law Links, Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, St. Ambrose Housing, and the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Bar Association of Baltimore City Annual Holiday Party for Children Living in Homeless Shelters. These are just a few of the many worthwhile projects the Foundation is able to support through generous contributions it receives from members of the Bar and the community through its fundraising efforts.
